Artwork Guidelines

Making sure your custom sign, vehicle, or print project looks its best is important to us! To guarantee we can deliver on our high standards there are certain artwork guidelines we require you follow when working with us. Below you will find our best practices and accepted file formats.

 

Methods For Submitting Artwork.

Our preferred method of accepting files is through email (for files under 25mb) or Google Drive, DropBox or WeTransfer for larger files. 

Preferred Artwork File Types.

We can work with both vector and raster image types however vector-based images are our preferred method and will provide the best results depending on the project.

Our PREFERRED File Formats.

  • Adobe Photoshop: Layered .psd OR .psb files at full-size in CMYK mode at 72-300 dpi . Include all fonts in a separate folder. 

  • Adobe Illustrator: Layered .ai OR .pdf files in CMYK mode. Please convert fonts to outlines and embed all raster images. 

  • CorelDRAW: CMYK 300dpi with all fonts converted to curves. 

Accepted “Print-Ready” File Formats

We accept flattened .tiff, high res jpeg, OR .pdf files at full size in CMYK colour mode. All fonts must be converted to outlines/curves, and all raster / bitmap images must be embedded. It is helpful if you:

  • Convert all fonts to paths/outlines/curves

  • Reference all Spot/PMS colors

  • Embedded or supply all images files

  • Clearly indicate any Cut/die lines

  • Supply a jpeg or pdf file for layout reference

Platinum Signs cannot be held responsible for charges related to reproducing a new graphic due to spelling, layout, sizing, etc. Please check all information before submitting artwork and be sure to thoroughly go over the proof supplied to you.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Logos

For most projects, a vector-based logo is required. Please send a .pdf, .ai, or .eps file with your logo. If you do not have a vector-based logo, we can create one from your .jpeg or .tiff file for a fee. We will provide you with a copy for future marketing projects.

Colour Match

We are able to match your brand colours if supplied with a CMYK or Pantone code

files we cannot work with

To ensure quality, we do not accept graphic files in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, docx or any other file that is not supported by corelDRAW or Adobe products
